Our members kindly agreed to sponsor 12 junior mascots this season. These will be allocated to members who enter a draw, with a small number donated to deserving organisations in Blackpool. If the recipient is not already, we hope this encourages them to be a Seasiders for life.
As the season progresses, we will share here their stories of the big day out.
Our first mascot was Aaron Liptrot whose Grandfather is Gary Senior a BST member. Aaron attended the Swansea game. We are reliably informed by Gary, that prior to the game , Aaron had split loyalties between Everton and the Pool. We understand after his experience Aaron is now a full Seasider.
See some words below from Gary describing Aaron's big day.
I wanted to place on record my thanks to Blackpool Supporters Trust, Blackpool FC and the BFC Community Trust for my grandson Aaron's amazing 'mascot day' at the home game against Swansea. If ever there was a special day and memory that will remain forever with a little 6 year old lad, this was it.
Aaron went with the two Trust lads and had a truly brilliant afternoon which included time playing footie in the Trust building, penalties with Bloomfield Bear on the pitch, dressing room visit where he took some photos (see attached pics) and met some of the players, tour of the ground and facilities, lap of honour around the pitch and then a seat with his family to watch the game. His eyes lit up when he heard his name read out by the PA announcer and saw his photo in the programme and on the big screen.
A fantastic and special day for Aaron and his family - thank you so much to everyone for making one little lad's day (and his grandads)!
