The following was announced today on the club website
Blackpool Football Club and Blackpool Supporters Trust (BST) are working together to give young supporters the opportunity to be a part of the match day experience at Bloomfield Road as Club Mascot.
Starting with the Club's home fixture against Swansea City on Saturday 13 August, BST are funding up to 12 mascots throughout the season, which will be allocated to either local good causes or to BST Members and their families.
Blackpool Football Club Director, Brett Gerrity said:
"We're delighted to be working closely with BST on another project to help connect with and grow the next generation of Blackpool supporters.
"This initiative is another example of the Club engaging with the supporters, who are the lifeblood of the football club, whilst also working to create lifelong memories for our young fans.”
Supporters' Trust Chair, Andy Higgins said:
"We fully support this good cause to give young supporters a chance to meet their Blackpool heroes.
"The idea to allocate mascot packages to worthy causes and schools is fantastic, and we look forward to seeing this all take place during the new season."
