Match day mascot initiative 23/24 Season

The end of last season only seems like yesterday, but already it is time to start preparation for the BST mascot programme for the new season.

Thanks to the success of the 1953 Sweepstake, and some kind donors we are this year able to fund a mascot for EVERY home league game, and are also covering the club’s prestigious pre-season friendly with Hibernian.

As last year, we propose to allocate 75% of the mascots to BST Members and their families, with the remainder going to good causes. This year, we intend that two of the BST games after Christmas will be allocated to BST Junior Members only - so if you want to be a candidate for those games, you have plenty of time to sign up the child concerned to be a BST Junior.

The first tranche of games

Is as follows. Three games will be allocated to BST Members and their families, as follows:

• Hibernian: 29th July

• Burton Albion: 5th August

• Port Vale: 15th August (evening game)

with one game - with Leyton Orient on 19th August - being awarded to a local good cause.

If you are a BST Member and wants to nominate a child aged up to 11 years old for any or all of the above three games, simply contact the BST Secretary on:

bst-secretary@blackpoolsupporterstrust.com

no later than Sunday 8th July to be entered into the draw. All we need from you initially is the name of the child you want to enter. If holidays mean you can only do one or two of the games above - just let us know and we will plan accordingly.

We look forward to hearing from you. We will hold a ballot for the places early in week commencing 9 July, and will write to you about the second tranche of matches shortly.

BST Sweepstake

The reason we are able to afford mascots for every game this season is because of the generosity of our fans who are already supporting the 1953 Sweepstake.

This is, as far as we know, the only lottery of its kind that raises money exclusively for Blackpool FC, its fans and the local community. Remember:

• it costs from just £5 per month to enter

• 40% of what we earn is paid out in monthly prizes

• the remaining 60% is allocated to all the various initiatives we undertake

• we run the scheme in-house so there are NO overheads

The more support we have from you and other ‘Pool fans - the more we can do. Please support us if you can, as every entry helps. You can sign up to the Sweepstake here:

BST Memberships

For the first time this season we are steering two mascot packages for games in the New Year towards BFC Junior Members in particular. Now is a good time to enrol a child in your family so that they can take part in those draws - all they have to be is under 12 years of age.

But why stop there? Older children and adults are equally welcome in the BST family; why not donate an annual Membership as a birthday or Christmas present and give them the tangerine habit early in life. Joining is easy and can be done at the address below:

We will be in touch about the second tranche of games soon. In the meantime, thank you for your continued support - and good luck.
